Some sessions don't fit neatly into one box.
You might arrive with something that's been bothering you, a situation you're trying to make sense of, an emotional pattern you're noticing, or simply a lot going on in your head.
Sometimes the most useful place to begin is by talking.
The first part of your session is a dedicated space to talk through what's happening for you.
I use my training in counselling skills, therapeutic communication and hypnotherapy to listen carefully, reflect back what I'm hearing, ask questions and help you explore what may be sitting underneath the immediate issue.
This isn't formal counselling or psychotherapy, and I don't present myself as a counsellor.
Instead, it's a structured and supportive space for conversation, reflection and guided exploration, using the therapeutic skills and experience I have developed through my training and practice.
You don't have to arrive knowing exactly what you want to say.
Sometimes, simply having the space to slow down and hear yourself talk can bring a different perspective.
The second part of the session moves away from conversation and into an experience designed around what feels appropriate for you.
Depending on what we've explored, this might involve:
Reiki
Sound Bath
Guided meditation
Self-hypnosis
Inner Child work
Relaxation and grounding
Other therapeutic or holistic techniques from my wider practice
The intention isn't to force an outcome or “fix” whatever you've talked about.
It's about giving your mind and body an opportunity to process, settle, explore or experience something differently.
The two parts of the session complement each other.
We talk.
We explore.
Then we give you another way of working with what has come up.
You can choose either a 90-minute or 120-minute session, depending on the amount of space you feel you need.
The first part is dedicated to conversation and reflection, with the remaining time allowing us to move into the holistic or therapeutic practice that's appropriate for you.
The exact balance can vary slightly because, well, you're a human being rather than a 90-minute appointment slot.
What matters is that the session has room to unfold naturally while still having enough structure to feel purposeful.
This offering came from something I've seen repeatedly in my work: sometimes people need to talk, but they don't necessarily want to spend an entire session talking.
They want to understand what's happening and then do something with it.
That's where Reflect & Restore came from.
It's a space for conversation, curiosity, therapeutic skill and holistic practice, brought together in one personalised session.
